Aquacorde Town

 

After Route 1, you'll arrive at a new city called Aquacorde Town. There, your neighbors will call you over to a nearby table. You meet two new rivals. Their names are Tierno and Trevor. Tierno aims to be a professional dancer with his pokemon and Trevor's just wants to have fun battling and becoming friends with his pokemon.

Tierno wants to give you a nickname that the 'group' can call you by. He lets you pick from 4 different names. You'll be able to pick your very first Pokemon now. Sadly, there are only three types available, Water, Fire, and Grass. The three kalos region starters are Froakie, the water type, Chespin, the grass type, and Fennekin, the fire type.

After picking your Pokemon, Trevor will lecture you about the pokedex, after he gives you one. Teirno will give you a letter that you have to give to your mom in order to go on with your journey.

While you are leaving Aquacorde Town, Shauna will challange you to a battle. Shauna will have less than 5 battles with you, unlike the other regions. She'll have the Pokemon that is weak against yours, where as on the other hand Serena picks the one that is stronger than yours (type wise).

When you are battling you'll realise your Pokemon has either Ember, Vine Whip, or Water Gun, depending on what Pokemon you picked.

After winning easily, you'll be rewarded with 500 Poke-Dollars and Shauna will heal you Pokemon, saving you a trip to the Pokemon Center.

Now all you have to do is give the letter to your mother and you will be able to continue your Pokemon Journey!
